Thomas the Tank Engine returns to Phillipsburg Aug. 8–10 for family weekend at Delaware River Railroad Excursions

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — Thomas the Tank Engine is rolling back into town this summer as the Delaware River Railroad Excursions hosts Day Out With Thomas™: The Party Tour from Aug. 8–10.

The beloved blue engine will be in Phillipsburg for a weekend full of family fun, celebrating 80 years of adventures with Thomas & Friends™. This year’s event promises to be bigger than ever, featuring a life-sized, talking Thomas offering 20-minute train rides along the scenic Delaware River.

The festivities will run all day and include outdoor lawn games, live entertainment, confetti-filled photo opportunities, and appearances by Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway.

Each guest will receive an activity sheet to guide them through four key station stops for a free giveaway. Families can also stop by Celebration Station, featuring birthday-themed games like balloon tennis and face painting, and visit the Play Pod, where children can play with Thomas & Friends toys and choose a temporary tattoo.

In addition to the entertainment, visitors can enjoy food and drinks available for purchase and browse a pop-up gift shop featuring exclusive Thomas & Friends merchandise, only available at Day Out With Thomas events.
