Two-car crash leaves one vehicle overturned on I-80 in Morris County

ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Minor injuries were reported after a two-car crash on Interstate 80 sent both vehicles off the roadway and into the woods in Rockaway Township Monday night, according to New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded to the crash at about 8:17 p.m. on I-80 west at milepost 34.7, according to State Police spokesman Trooper II Christopher Postorino.

A preliminary investigation found that a collision occurred between a Hyundai sedan and a Nissan sedan, causing the Hyundai to overturn, Postorino said.

Both vehicles then ran off the roadway and into the woods. Minor injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
