
Two facing burglary, theft charges in Morris County
DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Two Pennsylvania residents are facing burglary and theft charges in Denville Township, according to police.
On June 7, police received a 911 call regarding a stolen motor vehicle at the 7-11 convenience store. Officers responded to the parking lot and began an investigation in which they discovered the vehicle had left the area, police said.
The stolen motor vehicle was later involved in a pursuit with New Jersey State Police, authorities said.
Then on June 8, the stolen motor vehicle was located by Allentown Police Department and determined to be a total loss due to fire damage, police said.
Denville Township Detectives along with the assistance of Leigh County Auto Theft Task Force, were able to identify the driver of the stolen vehicle as a 17-year-old from Allentown. They were also able to identify an accomplice, Adony Alcantara, 24, of Allentown, police said.
With the assistance of the Allentown Police Department and Leigh County Auto Theft Task Force, both were arrested, police said.
Alcantara was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to commit theft.
The juvenile was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, conspiracy to commit theft, burglary, and theft.
Both were released pending court appearances in Morris County, police said.
