Two men arrested on burglary, theft charges in Morris County

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Two men were arrested on burglary and theft charges in Washington Township early Monday morning, according to police.

On Dec. 16, at around 3:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of a theft in progress on Schooley’s Mountain Road. Officers located the involved vehicle and arrested two men in connection with the incident, police said.

A 54-year-old man from Maryland and a 38-year-old man from New York were both charged with burglary and theft. Authorities have not released the identities of the suspects, and details surrounding the circumstances of the theft have not been disclosed.

Both men were lodged in the Morris County Jail pending a court appearance, police said.
