United Way of Hunterdon County partners with credit union to launch financial wellness program

FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — United Way of Hunterdon County has partnered with Financial Resources Federal Credit Union to launch a financial wellness program aimed at improving economic stability for local residents.

The initiative will provide individuals and families with access to financial education, tools and resources focused on budgeting, credit building, debt management, savings and long-term financial planning.

Officials said the program is designed to help community members make informed financial decisions and strengthen overall financial well-being.

“At United Way of Hunterdon County, we recognize that financial stability is essential to building strong, thriving communities. We are proud to partner with Financial Resources Federal Credit Union to launch this Financial Wellness program, which will provide individuals and families with the education, tools, and support they need to take control of their financial futures. Together, we are expanding access to critical resources and creating pathways to long-term economic stability for our neighbors,” said Jennifer Thompson, CEO, United Way of Hunterdon County

The program will include workshops, seminars and online resources led by professionals from Financial Resources Federal Credit Union. Organizers said the services are intended to be accessible, inclusive and tailored to the needs of Hunterdon County residents.

Through our collaboration with United Way of Hunterdon County, we are providing individuals with the education and resources necessary to achieve long-term financial well-being,” said Frank Almeida, President and CEO of Financial Resources Federal Credit Union.

The program aligns with United Way of Hunterdon County’s broader mission to support education, income stability and health in the community.
