UPDATE: Missing 16-year-old found safe, police say; no further details were released.

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — Police in Phillipsburg are asking for the public’s help in locating a 16-year-old boy who was reported missing Friday.

Jayvien Dunston was last seen the morning of Jan. 9, according to the Phillipsburg Police Department. Officers were dispatched at about 3:49 p.m. to a residence on the 100 block of Washington Street for a report of a missing juvenile.

Authorities said Dunston was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and white sneakers. He is described as Black, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police said Dunston was last seen earlier that morning, and he was no longer in the residence when a family member later woke up.

Anyone with information about Dunston’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Phillipsburg Police Department at 908-835-2002.
