
Warren County man convicted of sexually assaulting child
PHILLIPSBRG, NJ (Warren County) – A Warren County man was convicted Thursday of sexually assaulting a child, according to Acting Warren County Prosecutor Jessica L. Cardone.
A Warren County jury found Victor Rosado, 43, of Phillipsburg guilty of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
The sexual acts occurred in 2015 and 2016 when the victim, who was known to Rosado, was between the ages of 9 and 11 years old, Cardone said.
Rosado is tentatively scheduled for sentencing on May 30, and will remain in custody at the Warren County Correctional Center until that time.
At sentencing, Rosado faces a term of 25 years to life in New Jersey State Prison, pursuant to the Jessica Lunsford Act. He will also be subject to Megan’s Law and lifetime Parole Supervision.
Assisting agencies in the investigation included the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, Phillipsburg Police Department, New Jersey State Police Laboratory, and the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.
