Warren County man faces drug, DUI charges following Pennsylvania Crash

POCONO TOWNSHIP, PA (Monroe County) – A Warren County man is facing multiple charges following a crash in Pocono Township on Saturday.

On February 15, at around 5:39 p.m., police were dispatched after receiving an Apple crash detection alert in the area of Wilke Road in Tannersville.

Upon arrival, officers found a white Ram 1500 involved in a single-vehicle accident with a guardrail.

Police made contact with the driver, Iurii Martyniv, 23, from Hackettstown. Martyniv showed signs of impairment and allegedly admitted to consuming alcohol while driving. A search of his vehicle revealed a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Martyniv was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two traffic violations. He was then transported to the Monroe County DUI Center.
