Washington Township Mayor Matt Murello honors Eagle Scout Liam Rafter for Flocktown School baseball field renovation
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Mayor Matt Murello had the pleasure of recognizing and presenting a Proclamation to Washington Township’s newest Eagle Scout, Liam Rafter.
Liam, a member of Long Valley’s BSA Troop 436, was honored for his outstanding service project, which involved the planning and complete renovation of the Flocktown School baseball field.
Liam’s project, which included nearly 400 man-hours of work, also raised $4,000 to support the renovations. The project was a collaborative effort, with the Mayor working closely with Liam and the Washington Township School District to include the field’s maintenance in the township’s shared services contract to ensure it remains in good condition.
