Wawa recalls 16-ounce milk beverages in New Jersey, 3 other states over possible plastic pieces
Wawa has recalled certain 16-ounce milk beverages sold in New Jersey and three other states after identifying the potential presence of soft plastic pieces that could pose a choking risk.
The recall affects limited quantities of beverages produced by the Wawa Beverage Company and sold at select stores in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey. The company said the products have been removed from sale and disposed of at impacted stores. No Wawa locations in other states are affected, and no other Wawa-branded products are included in the recall.
The beverages were recalled as a precautionary measure after the company identified the potential for soft plastic pieces in the products. Wawa said it has received no confirmed reports that plastic pieces were present and no confirmed reports of injuries related to consumption.
