1 injured after SUV rear-ends tractor-trailer on I-80 in Warren County

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – The driver of an SUV was injured after a collision with a tractor-trailer Tuesday morning on Interstate 80 in Warren County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened at around 4:48 a.m. on Interstate 80 westbound at milepost 21.6 in Allamuchy Township, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Toyota SUV and Freightliner tractor-trailer were traveling westbound on I-80 when the Toyota struck the rear of the Freightliner, Lebron said.

The driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Lebron said.
