2 injured after car overturns on I-78 in Somerset County

BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Somerset County) – Two people were injured after a car overturned on Interstate 78 in Somerset County on Wednesday morning, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened at around 7:37 a.m. on Interstate 78 westbound at milepost 32 in Bridgewater Township, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that the driver of a Nissan Altima lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road to the right, overturned, and collided with the guardrail, Lebron said.

The driver and passenger sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation, Lebron added.
