20-year-old Morris County man killed in crash on I-295, state police say

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Mercer County) – A 20-year-old driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 in Mercer County on Sunday night, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened at around 7:53 p.m. on I-295 northbound at milepost 60.6 in Hamilton Township, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Nissan SUV was traveling northbound on I-295 when the vehicle veered off the roadway to the left and collided with the concrete bridge support and guardrail, Lebron said.

As a result of the crash, the driver, Samuel Beale of the Kenvil section of Roxbury Township, suffered fatal injuries, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Lebron said.
