
3-year-old hospitalized following reported drowning at Warren County home
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — A 3-year-old boy is in stable but critical condition after being found in a swimming pool at a Hackettstown home Thursday evening, according to police.
The Hackettstown Police Department responded to a residence on Reese Avenue at about 6:55 p.m. Aug. 13 for a report of a drowning involving the child.
Upon arrival, officers located the boy surrounded by several adults. The child was breathing but was not responding, police said.
Officers were advised that CPR had been initiated before their arrival. The boy had been found in a swimming pool and pulled from the water.
The child was transported by the Hackettstown First Aid & Rescue Squad to Hatchery Hill School, where a landing zone had been established by the Hackettstown Fire Department for Atlantic Air One.
The boy was then transported by medical helicopter to Morristown Medical Center for further treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. No additional information was available.
