67-year-old woman sustains burn injuries in space heater fire in Sussex County

MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) — A 67-year-old woman sustained burn injuries in a space heater fire Thursday night in Sussex County, according to New Jersey State Police

At 9:25 p.m., police responded to a residence on Oak Ridge Road in Montague Township after reports of a fire caused by a space heater, state police said.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the woman suffered burn injuries from the fire. She was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.

The incident remains under investigation, and no further details are available at this time, state police said.
