HANOVER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — An 83-year-old driver died after a car left the roadway and struck a tree in Hanover Township on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
Hanover Township police responded to the crash on Elm Place at approximately 1:50 p.m. Sept. 22.
According to the prosecutor’s office, a Hyundai Sonata drove into a grassy area and struck a tree.
The 83-year-old driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was taken to Morristown Medical Center and pronounced dead. Her name was not released.
The crash remains under investigation by the Morris County Sheriff’s Office and Hanover Township Police Department.
