Sussex County crash leaves 1 pickup truck overturned; driver airlifted

FRANKFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – One person was airlifted after a Wednesday crash involving two pickup trucks that left one overturned, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened at around 12:34 p.m. at the intersection of Kemah Lake Road and Morris Turnpike in Frankford Township, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a collision occurred between two Toyota pickup trucks causing one of the pickup trucks to overturn, Lebron said.

There were minor injuries reported and one of the drivers was airlifted to a local hospital, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Lebron said.
