FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson is recognizing Hunterdon County Sheriff Frederick W. Brown for reaching a milestone of 50 years of service in law enforcement, an achievement recognized Aug. 1.
A lifelong Hunterdon County resident, Brown began his law enforcement career with the Raritan Township Police Department after serving seven years in the U.S. Naval Reserve. During his tenure with the department, he advanced through the ranks and served as chief of police for seven years before being elected Hunterdon County sheriff in 2010.
Throughout his career, Brown has been active in numerous community organizations and professional associations focused on public safety, crime prevention and community service.
