Burglary suspect arrested in Chester Township after early morning break-ins

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A burglary suspect was arrested early Saturday morning in Chester Township following reports of break-ins on Skinner Trail and Chestnut Drive, according to local police.

Chester Township Police responded around 2:30 a.m. and were assisted by Mendham Township Police, Washington Township Police, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Patrol and K-9 Unit, and the Morris County Office of Emergency Management.

The Morris County Communications Center provided patrols with timely information and helped coordinate the response, police said.

The male suspect was apprehended, processed, and transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility. His identity has not been released.
