
Police seek 4 suspects in connection with catalytic converter thefts in Morris County
BOONTON, NJ (Morris County) – Police in Boonton are looking for four suspects they say stole catalytic converters early Thursday morning.
On July 25, between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. four suspects arrived to the areas of Green Street and William Street in what appeared to be a dark colored BMW X5, police said.
The suspects entered six vehicles and sawed off catalytic converters from a Volkswagen and two Toyotas, police said.
Throughout the day, police were notified between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. by the 6 owners of the vehicles and officers obtained information for the reported vehicle burglaries, thefts and criminal mischiefs, police said.
Detectives responded to the scenes to collect and canvas for evidence. The Morris County Sheriff’s Department CSI also assisted.
