Hackettstown woman accused of supplying alcohol to minors at sleepover

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A Hackettstown woman is accused of supplying alcohol to minors at a sleepover in Byram Township

On Sept. 28, 2024, police responded to a report from a concerned homeowner regarding an adult providing alcoholic beverages to juveniles at a sleepover, police said.

Upon arrival, officers observed several juveniles appearing intoxicated and some showing signs of illness due to alcohol consumption, police said.

The investigation revealed that a 36-year-old from Hackettstown had supplied the alcohol to the minors. As a result, she was charged with providing alcoholic beverages to underage person. She was released pending a court appearance, police said.
