Death of man found near railroad tracks in Morris County deemed suspicious

UPDATE: Two arrested in Morristown homicide, Hanover burglary and trespass cases

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Authorities are investigating the death of a man found unresponsive Friday morning near railroad tracks along Patriots Path and Cory Road in Morristown.

According to Meghan Knab, public information officer for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, emergency medical services and Morristown police responded at approximately 9:14 a.m. after receiving a report of an unresponsive male in the area.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Morris County Sheriff’s Office, Morristown Bureau of Police, and NJ Transit Police also responded.

The death is being treated as suspicious, officials said.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities said additional information will be released when appropriate.
