Mosquito spraying scheduled in 3 Morris County towns on Aug. 11

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — Due to an increase in adult mosquito populations, Morris County officials will conduct targeted spraying at multiple locations on Monday, Aug. 11, weather permitting.

Between 4 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., treatment will be applied via all-terrain vehicle to wooded areas and surrounding properties in:

  • Morris Plains Borough: Jim Fear Drive (Community Park Pool)
  • East Hanover Township: Hanover Road (East Hanover Cemetery)

The county will use either Anvil 2+2, with the active ingredient Sumithrin (EPA Reg. No. 1021-1687-8329), or Zenivex E4, with the active ingredient Etofenprox (EPA Reg. No. 2724-807).

Later that evening, between 9 p.m. and midnight, crews will spray streets using a truck-mounted sprayer in:

  • Florham Park Borough: Vreeland Road (business parking lots), Dirlam Drive, Northridge Drive

The same products will be used for evening spraying. Pesticide Applicator License Number 20262B will be displayed during operations.
