Mosquito spraying scheduled Aug. 15 in parts of Jefferson Township

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Mosquito control crews will treat wooded areas and surrounding properties near Milton Road by the Jefferson firehouse on Friday, Aug. 15, between 4 and 6:30 a.m., weather permitting, officials said.

The treatment will be conducted using an all-terrain vehicle and will target adult mosquito populations. Crews will apply either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient Sumithrin (EPA #1021-1687-8329), or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient Etofenprox (EPA #2724-807).
