Guide rail replacement to begin Aug. 18 on Schooley’s Mountain Road
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Drivers should expect delays starting Monday, Aug. 18, as guide rail replacement work begins along Schooley’s Mountain Road in Washington Township.
The project is part of upcoming resurfacing work and will stretch from Long Valley Center to the Hackettstown town line. Township officials said construction will create alternating traffic patterns throughout the day, with work zones shifting frequently.
Because the work is fluid, officials noted it is difficult to predict the exact locations or duration of delays at any given time.
Residents and motorists are encouraged to follow updates from the Washington Township Office of Emergency Management, which will share information as it becomes available.
