Hunterdon Health cardiac, pulmonary rehab programs earn national recertification
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon Health’s Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs have been recertified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, the hospital announced.
AACVPR certification recognizes programs that follow nationally approved guidelines for early outpatient care of patients with heart and lung conditions. Officials said the credential provides assurance that staff are trained and equipped to help patients facing life-changing cardiac or pulmonary diagnoses.
Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs are designed to aid recovery for patients with conditions such as heart attacks, bypass surgery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other respiratory problems. Services include exercise, education, counseling and support for patients and their families.
Hospital officials said the recertification underscores Hunterdon Health’s commitment to providing high-quality rehabilitation and long-term health support for the community.
