Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office swears in new detective

FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office announced the addition of a new detective to its ranks this week.

Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson said Detective Joelle Bridgewater was sworn in on Aug. 25 before Chief of Detectives Timothy J. Drew, her family, and HCPO staff.

Before joining the prosecutor’s office, Bridgewater served as a patrol officer with the Montgomery Township Police Department in Somerset County. She began her law enforcement career as an agent with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

Bridgewater is a graduate of Rutgers University, where she earned a degree in criminal justice.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
