Boat takes on water at Lake Hopatcong dock, towed for repairs

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A boat taking on water at a dock on Lake Hopatcong was towed to a marina for repairs Monday afternoon, according to New Jersey State Police.

Trooper Christopher Postorino said troopers responded around 2:01 p.m. Sept. 1 to dock H1210, where they found a single-console boat taking on water. Crews pumped out the vessel before towing it to a local marina.

The incident remains under investigation. No additional information was available.
