Mega Millions ticket sold via Jackpocket app wins $3 million in New Jersey

NEW JERSEY — A New Jersey Lottery player using the Jackpocket app matched all five white balls in Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing, missing only the Gold Mega Ball, to win $3 million.

The winning numbers were 17, 26, 33, 45 and 56, with the Gold Mega Ball 19. No one across the multi-state game claimed the jackpot, which now climbs to $575 million for Friday’s drawing.

The New Jersey ticket included the X3 multiplier, tripling the game’s $1 million base prize. The win marks another major payout since Mega Millions updated its rules in April to include a free multiplier option.

It’s the second significant win for a New Jersey player under the new rules — in June, a Bergen County player saw a $1 million prize quadruple to $4 million thanks to the same multiplier feature.
