Readington Township Police receive drone donation from local business owners
READINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Readington Township Police Department has received a new DJI Avata II FPV drone through a donation from Chris and Tracie Casey, owners of Minalex Corporation, a local manufacturing company based in Readington.
Police officials said the donation will enhance the department’s drone program and expand its ability to safely operate in indoor and confined spaces, improving both operational effectiveness and officer safety.
The donation was made in memory of Jim and Bobbi Casey, the parents of Chris Casey.
“The Readington Township Police Department would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Chris and Tracie Casey, owners of Minalex Corporation here in Readington Township, for their generous donation of a DJI Avata II FPV Drone,” the department said in a statement. “This drone will complement our larger drones and allow our officers to safely operate in indoor and confined spaces, enhancing both operational effectiveness and officer safety.”
