State police investigate Sussex County sheriff’s vehicle fire in Sussex County

WANTAGE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sussex County) — State Police are investigating a vehicle fire that occurred Friday morning at a residence on Judge Beach Road in Wantage Township, according to New Jersey State Police spokesman Trooper II Christopher Postorino.

Troopers responded to the scene around 9:20 a.m. and found a Ford Sussex County Sheriff’s Office vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported, Postorino said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and no additional details were immediately available.
