Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Bridge to close Nov. 17–21 for daytime rehab work
FRENCHTOWN BOROUGH, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge is scheduled to be closed to all vehicular traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, through Friday, Nov. 21, as rehabilitation work continues, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced.
Drivers are advised to use the Upper Black Eddy–Milford Toll-Supported Bridge, located 3.3 miles upstream, as an alternate crossing while daytime closures are in effect.
The weekday shutdowns will allow the contractor to accelerate remaining rehabilitation tasks ahead of the winter holiday season in December. The bridge’s pedestrian walkway will remain open during the closures.
Motorists are urged to plan extra travel time, as delays are likely during the detour periods. All scheduled closures are weather-dependent and may change due to emergencies or unforeseen conditions, the Commission said.
