
Two Morris County men charged with drug offenses after police find them inside school bus
HANOVER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Two Whippany men were arrested on multiple drug charges after police found them inside a school bus at the Calais School last month, Hanover Township police said.
The incident occurred on Nov. 17, when officers responded to a report of individuals inside a school bus who were possibly using controlled dangerous substances. Police said Officer Matthew Gallagher arrived and located Tyler Metallidis, 19, and Alex Bueno, 20, inside the bus. Both were allegedly under the influence of controlled dangerous substances, according to police.
During the investigation, officers said they found three different substances in Bueno’s possession, while Metallidis was allegedly carrying 26 different substances.
Bueno was charged with possession of CDS, possession of prescription legend drugs, being under the influence of CDS and criminal trespass. Due to his level of intoxication, he was taken to the hospital for his safety, police said.
Metallidis was charged with multiple counts of possession of CDS, multiple counts of possession of prescription legend drugs, being under the influence of CDS, multiple counts of possessing hypodermic syringes, multiple counts of distributing prescription legend drugs and criminal trespass. He was lodged in the Morris County Jail pending a detention hearing.
