HILLSBOROUGH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County)Pickleball Kingdom has expanded its New Jersey footprint with the acquisition of The Pickle Jar, an indoor pickleball club in Hillsborough Township, as part of its growth in Somerset County.

The facility at 315 Roycefield Road will be converted into Pickleball Kingdom Hillsborough, joining existing Pickleball Kingdom locations in Hamilton, Tinton Falls and Watchung. The eight-court site is expected to undergo upgrades to align with the company’s national standards and deliver what officials described as a premium indoor pickleball experience.

“We are proud to continue expanding Pickleball Kingdom’s footprint in New Jersey,” said Ace Rodrigues, founder and CEO of Pickleball Kingdom. “This acquisition reflects our commitment to elevating the sport by transforming strong local clubs into world-class indoor destinations. The Hillsborough location will be operated by franchisees Yashraj Kurani and Dip Jadawala, who are overseeing the conversion of the existing club. Planned improvements include professionally resurfaced courts, upgraded fencing, new court colors, enhanced amenities and expanded programming.

According to the company, offerings will include court reservations, drop-in play, leagues, tournaments, clinics, private coaching, youth programs and community events. The facility will also incorporate PodPlay technology, including instant replay for match review and skill development.

“This is about elevating an already passionate pickleball community and continuing to give it the environment it deserves,” Kurani said. “Pickleball Kingdom brings a premium experience that supports casual players, competitive athletes, families, and everyone in between. We are excited to build something special here in Hillsborough.”

Pickleball Kingdom President and Chief Global Officer Rob Streett said the company is confident the Hillsborough location will reflect the brand’s broader goals.

“We are proud to partner with Yashraj Kurani and Dip Jadawala as they lead Pickleball Kingdom Hillsborough,” Streett said. “Their combined leadership, business acumen, and genuine passion for pickleball align perfectly with our mission. They understand what it takes to elevate a club into a premium experience, and we are confident Hillsborough players will feel that difference from day one.”

Pickleball Kingdom officials said the Hillsborough acquisition represents another step in the company’s ongoing expansion across New Jersey and the region.
