Vehicle fire follows two-car crash at Hunterdon County intersection
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Firefighters and emergency medical crews responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash Thursday that resulted in a fully involved vehicle fire at a Raritan Township intersection, authorities said.
Raritan Township Fire Company said crews were dispatched Jan. 9 along with the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad to the intersection of River Road and Walter E. Foran Boulevard.
Upon arrival, firefighters found one vehicle fully engulfed in flames. All occupants had exited the vehicles prior to crews arriving, officials said.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and removed hazards from the roadway, while emergency medical personnel evaluated the occupants at the scene.
Fire and rescue units remained on scene for about an hour before clearing. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
