Lopatcong, Phillipsburg police spread Valentine’s Day cheer to residents

WARREN COUNTY, N.J. — Officers from the Lopatcong Township Police Department teamed up with the Phillipsburg Police Department on Valentine’s Day to deliver roses and spend time with residents.

Police said officers visited residents during lunchtime, handing out flowers and taking time to talk and connect with members of the community.

In a social media post, the department described the visit as a way to share “Love, laughter, and a surprise visit from Cupid,” noting that officers distributed roses and shared conversations with residents.

The departments said the visit was intended to strengthen community ties and highlight a community-focused approach to policing.

Officials thanked residents for welcoming officers during the event and said they look forward to continuing community outreach efforts.
