Wine bar opens in Flemington through partnership between Mr. Pops and Old York Cellars
FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Local officials gathered March 6 to celebrate the opening of a new wine bar on Main Street, created through a collaboration between Mr. Pops Sweet Shop and Old York Cellars.
Hunterdon County Commissioner Director John E. Lanza joined County Clerk Mary Melfi and community members for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new location, which offers Old York Cellars wines inside the popular dessert shop at 110 Main St.
The addition aims to expand offerings at the Main Street destination and contribute to ongoing revitalization efforts in downtown Flemington.
“Mr. Pops has become a wonderful destination on Main Street and a place people enjoy visiting when they come to Flemington,” said Commissioner Director Lanza. “Adding Old York Cellars wine to the experience is a great way to highlight one of Hunterdon County’s local wineries while creating something new for residents and visitors to enjoy.”
Following remarks, officials and business owners participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening.
Local leaders said the partnership highlights how collaboration between businesses can enhance the local economy and attract more visitors to the area.
The new wine bar is expected to add to the growing mix of attractions on Flemington’s Main Street, offering a combined food and beverage experience for residents and visitors.
