Hunterdon County Parks and River Crossing YMCA partner for second annual Summer Nature Day Camp

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – The Hunterdon County Commissioner Board has announced the return of the Summer Nature Day Camp, a partnership between the Hunterdon County Division of Parks and Recreation and the River Crossing YMCA.

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural camp, the program will offer another season of outdoor adventure, exploration, and active learning from June 23 through August 15 at Echo Hill Park, located at 42 Lilac Drive in Clinton Township.

Commissioner Director John Lanza shared, “We are excited to announce the return of the Summer Nature Day Camp at Echo Hill for its second season. This program provides our young residents with a fantastic opportunity to immerse themselves in nature, learn about the environment, and develop an appreciation for the natural beauty of Hunterdon County. The success of last year’s camp, which saw nearly 100 attendees, has set the stage for an even more exciting and enriching experience this year. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning campers to Echo Hill.”

Teens ages 13-14 can participate in the Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program, where they’ll gain leadership skills and mentoring experience to inspire younger campers.

The camp will run for multiple sessions throughout the summer, offering families a range of opportunities to participate. The partnership with the River Crossing YMCA enhances the program, providing resources and expertise to create a memorable and impactful experience for all campers.
