Lane restrictions, possible delays at New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge during inspections

LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Motorists using the New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge may encounter delays next week as crews conduct routine inspections, officials said.

Flagger-controlled, alternating single-lane traffic is scheduled during daytime hours on Tuesday, April 28; Wednesday, April 29; and Friday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

Officials said brief traffic stoppages and travel delays are possible when the bridge is reduced to a single lane.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Motorists should also follow directions from flaggers and reduce speeds in the area.

The inspection is part of a biennial process required under National Bridge Inspection Standards. The bridge was last inspected in 2024.

The schedule is subject to change due to weather, emergencies or other factors, officials said.
