Daytime lane closure scheduled on Easton-Phillipsburg Toll Bridge April 27–May 1

PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — Motorists traveling westbound on Route 22 toward Pennsylvania should expect lane restrictions next week on the Easton-Phillipsburg Toll Bridge, officials said.

From Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 1, one of two westbound lanes will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., reducing traffic to a single lane heading into Pennsylvania.

The closure is needed to allow engineering consultants to conduct ultrasonic testing on the bridge’s pin connections, according to officials.

Drivers are urged to slow down, use caution and plan for possible delays while traveling through the area.

The schedule is subject to change due to weather, emergencies or other factors.
