U.S. Postal Service to close May 25 for Memorial Day
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Postal Service announced post offices nationwide will be closed Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.
Regular mail delivery and retail services will resume Tuesday, May 26, according to USPS officials.
While post office retail counters will be closed for the holiday, customers will still be able to access many postal services through USPS.com and self-service kiosks available at select locations.
The Postal Service said self-service kiosks allow customers to purchase stamps, print postage for Priority Mail and international shipments, weigh and mail packages and track shipments.
Some locations also offer additional automated services, including Rapid Dropoff Stations for prepaid packages, QR code label printing and USPS Smart Lockers for package pickup and drop-off.
USPS officials noted many self-service kiosks remain available 24 hours a day, providing customers with access to postal services even during holiday closures.
Additional information about postal services and self-service options is available through the USPS website.
