Hunterdon Heroes Golf Classic raises $140K for Hunterdon Medical Center

EAST AMWELL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon Heroes Golf Classic raised $140,000 for Hunterdon Medical Center programs and services during a fundraising event held May 19 at The Ridge at Back Brook.

Despite high temperatures, community members and supporters turned out for the annual golf outing benefiting Hunterdon Health Foundation, organizers said.

Officials said all proceeds from the event will directly support programs and services at Hunterdon Medical Center.

The tournament’s winning foursome included Dr. David Krausse, Dr. Stan Sheft, Dr. Naveen Ballem and Richard Buonocore.

Additional prizes were awarded through tricky tray raffles and a $5,000 gift card giveaway sponsored by Flemington Department Store and Roger’s Appliances.

Event organizers credited local businesses and sponsors for helping make the fundraiser successful, including presenting sponsors Flemington Department Store & Roger’s Appliances and Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates.

“We’re incredibly grateful to them and all of the event sponsors and players who braved the heat,” organizers said. “Thanks to this incredible turnout, these funds are going straight to work helping patients right here in our community.”
