Van overturns in four-vehicle crash on I-80 in Morris County; three injured

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. (Morris County) — Three people were injured Friday morning in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Parsippany-Troy Hills that caused a van to overturn, according to according to New Jersey State Police spokesman Trooper II Christopher Postorino.

Troopers responded at approximately 9:03 a.m. to the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 near milepost 42.3.

According to a preliminary investigation, the crash involved two Freightliner tractor-trailers, a Ford van and a Nissan van.

State police said the vehicles collided, and the Ford van overturned following the impact.

The driver of the Ford van and the drivers of both Freightliner tractor-trailers sustained minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation, and no further information was immediately available.
