Two charged after dispute at Warren County business

WASHINGTON BOROUGH, N.J. (Warren County) — Two people were arrested following a reported dispute at a Washington Borough business, according to police.

Washington Township police said officers responded at approximately 11:14 p.m. May 9 to an establishment in the 100 block of West Washington Avenue for a reported dispute.

Police said a 32-year-old Dover man was acting in a disorderly manner before officers arrived and continued screaming profanities while police were on scene.

As officers took the man into custody, a 31-year-old Broadway woman allegedly became involved in a physical altercation with a bystander outside the establishment, police said.

According to police, the woman was uncooperative with officers and also screamed profanities at police and bystanders.

Both were taken to police headquarters for processing. Police did not release their names.

The man was charged with disorderly conduct and maintaining a nuisance. The woman was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and maintaining a nuisance.

Both were released with mandatory court dates.
