Mosquito spraying planned Sunday morning in Rockaway
ROCKAWAY, N.J. (Morris County) — The Morris County Mosquito Commission plans to conduct mosquito control treatments in Rockaway early Sunday morning due to an increase in adult mosquito populations.
Weather permitting, crews will treat wooded areas between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. Sunday, June 14, using an all-terrain vehicle.
The treatment area includes the Tilcon woods and water tower area near Cayuga Avenue and South Brookside Avenue.
Officials said the application will use either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient Sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient Etofenprox.
