Warren County cannabis dispensary to host community blood drive July 29

WASHINGTON BOROUGH, N.J. (Warren County) — Dank Poet, a cannabis dispensary in Washington Borough, will host a community blood drive later this month to help support hospitals and patients throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region.

The blood drive is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Dank Poet, 245 E. Washington Ave.

Organizers said the event is intended to make donating blood more convenient while raising awareness about the ongoing need for blood donations. Donated blood is used to help patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, emergency care and treatment for chronic illnesses.

The blood drive is part of the dispensary’s broader community outreach efforts, which include supporting local charitable initiatives, educational programs, veterans, nonprofit organizations and community groups.

Individuals interested in donating are encouraged to schedule an appointment by calling 908-450-9900. Donors should bring a valid photo ID, eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before their appointment.
