Morris County woman accused of DWI, eluding police with 1-year-old child in vehicle

FLORHAM PARK BOROUGH, N.J. (Morris County) — A Whippany woman is facing criminal charges after police say she fled from officers while allegedly driving under the influence with a 1-year-old child in her vehicle.

According to the Florham Park Police Department, officers attempted to stop a gray Nissan with Pennsylvania license plates at about 1:50 a.m. on June 16 after observing it straddling two lanes on Route 24 westbound, making abrupt lane changes and drifting between lanes.

Police said the driver failed to stop for emergency lights and sirens, continued through a construction zone, exited the highway, ran stop signs and traffic signals, and eventually stopped in the parking lot of a residential complex in Hanover Township.
