Man charged after allegedly damaging motel room door in Hunterdon County

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A Hunterdon County man has been charged after police said he damaged a motel room door at a local motel last month in Clinton Township.

According to police, officers responded June 15 to a local motel following a report of a resident causing damage to the property.

After an investigation, police arrested Miguel A. Cruz, 48, of Clinton Township, and charged him with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. Police allege Cruz kicked the door to one of the motel rooms, causing damage.

Cruz was processed at Clinton Township Police Headquarters, provided copies of the complaints and released pending a scheduled court appearance.
