The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $905 million for Monday night’s drawing after no ticket matched all six numbers in the latest drawing.
The jackpot has an estimated cash value of $391.1 million for a winner who chooses the lump-sum option instead of the annuity.
At $905 million, the estimated prize ranks as the eighth-largest jackpot in Powerball history.
The winning numbers in Saturday night’s drawing were 5, 9, 35, 54 and 63, with a Powerball of 7. The Power Play multiplier was 3.
Although no ticket won the jackpot, four tickets sold in Arizona, Florida, Michigan and New York matched all five white balls to win $1 million each. A ticket sold in Texas also matched all five white balls and included the Power Play option, increasing its prize to $2 million.
Monday’s drawing will mark the 43rd consecutive drawing in the current jackpot run. The Powerball jackpot was last won May 2, when tickets sold in Florida and Texas split a $20 million prize.
A jackpot winner may choose an annuity paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years or a one-time lump-sum payment. Both options are before taxes.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play. Drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time.
The overall odds of winning any Powerball prize are 1 in 24.9, while the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
