Mosquito control treatments scheduled in 4 Morris County towns Aug. 12
MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — Mosquito control treatments are scheduled in Montville, Denville, East Hanover and Jefferson on Wednesday, Aug. 12, following an increase in adult mosquito populations, according to the Morris County Division of Mosquito Control.
Weather permitting, crews will use all-terrain vehicles to treat wooded areas in Montville, Denville and East Hanover between 4 and 6 a.m.
The scheduled locations are:
- Montville: Horseneck Road, including Community Park and the amphitheater.
- Denville: Pocono Road.
- East Hanover: Eagle Rock Road near Ravello’s and River Road near Camp Thunderbird.
Crews will use either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains etofenprox.
A separate truck-mounted mosquito treatment is scheduled in Jefferson from 9 p.m. Wednesday to midnight.
The treatment will take place on Weldon Road near Camp Jefferson. Crews will use Anvil 2+2 or Zenivex E4. The pesticide applicator license number provided for the treatment is 20262B.
All treatments are weather permitting and could be affected by changing conditions.
